Goal​

Deliver the core allocation, timesheet, and role-based workflow features defined in Milestone 2 — organiser assigns tutors with live eligibility/clash/hours checks, tutors log and submit hours, students volunteer for open sessions — across all five confirmed roles (student, tutor, lecturer, organiser, admin), building on the auth, schema, and connectivity scaffolding delivered in Sprint 1.

Scope — Implementation​

  • Core schema — courses, tutors, roles, marks, availability (in progress — see schema design notes)
  • Allocation board — assign + live checks
  • Ranked suggestions, bulk-fill, override
  • Timesheet log + sign-off
  • Timesheet workflow — states, disputes, payroll export
  • Excuse + volunteer
  • Overflow workflow
  • Role-based views (organiser, tutor, student, lecturer, admin), enforced server-side
  • Availability import
  • Notifications
  • Organiser reporting
  • Usability at scale
  • Hosting migration: backend moved off Azure (ran out of free credits) to [Render / final choice] — includes redoing CD pipeline and DB provisioning against the new host

Ceremonies Held​

Being transparent about where we actually are, rather than overstating our process:

  • Sprint Planning: done — captured as the Gitea Milestone goal/scope above, with issues created and assigned against it.
  • Daily Standups: continuing via WhatsApp check-ins, same as Sprint 1 — not yet a formal documented ceremony.
  • Sprint Review: not yet held — date TBD, to be scheduled with the client tutor once Sprint 2 deliverables are demoable.
  • Sprint Retrospective: to be run this sprint — Sprint 1 flagged this as planned for Sprint 2 onward; Scrum Master to own and document.
